Recently, Mastercard's "Priceless Beijing" project has been re-launched to create a more convenient and "priceless" inbound consumption experience. Launched by Mastercard in 2011, "Priceless Beijing" aims to provide unique and wonderful Beijing tourism experiences for 3.4 billion Mastercard cardholders worldwide. This relaunch focuses on "green" themes, utilizing official channels of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism as well as Mastercard's "Priceless" platform. It covers four major areas: dining, entertainment, culture, and sustainability. The project carefully selects appealing benefits and exciting activities to promote Beijing's high-quality cultural resources and tourism products both domestically and internationally, while deepening payment convenience and diversifying payment methods, bridging China and the world.
This renewed campaign includes activities such as visiting Simatai Great Wall, cycling along Beijing's central axis, experiencing traditional Chinese life in Gubei Water Town, and learning to make traditional Chinese handicrafts. In the dining sector, Mastercard has collaborated with Jingzhaoyin to jointly launch the Priceless Taste Package. By exploring the world's first three-Michelin-star vegetarian restaurant, guests can enjoy a special vegetable feast, feeling the unique charm of Chinese vegetarian culture. This package integrates Jingzhaoyin's classic dishes with the unique elements of the "Priceless Beijing" project, emphasizing the locality, seasonality, and sustainability of ingredients, showcasing both parties' pursuit of the true beauty of ingredients and their strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

According to professional calculations by Carbonstop, the entire vegetarian package can reduce 8.81 kg CO₂e of carbon emissions compared to an equal weight and quality eight-course meat dish, equivalent to the daily electricity consumption emissions of a family of six.
Jingzhaoyin also reduces its environmental impact by using plant-dyed cotton handkerchiefs instead of disposable paper towels and not using disposable chopsticks. Consumers who purchase any meal from either of the two packages will prompt Mastercard to plant a tree through the "Priceless Planet Coalition."
Note: The "Priceless Planet Coalition" is an ecosystem restoration project initiated by Mastercard in collaboration with global partners, aiming to plant one billion trees worldwide. Focused on afforestation and vegetation restoration, this cost-effective carbon reduction measure connects banks, merchants, governments, and consumers to plant one billion trees globally by 2025. This includes particularly 460,000 mangrove trees in Hainan, China.

Since its opening, Jingzhaoyin has been committed to promoting the concept of sustainable green and healthy living. By providing authentic, pure, and healthy vegetarian cuisine and promoting environmental public welfare, it creates a green and natural dining experience for guests. Since 2021, Jingzhaoyin has consecutively won the title of the world's first "three-Michelin-star" plus "Michelin Green Star" vegetarian restaurant for four years, establishing its brand image in the global catering industry as a promoter of sustainable development and green healthy living concepts. Jingzhaoyin consistently integrates culinary excellence with environmental consciousness, elevating Chinese vegetarian cuisine to the pinnacle of world cuisine, serving as a messenger of cultural exchange and conveying the nation's spirit of harmony with nature through Chinese cuisine.

This is not the first time Carbonstop has engaged with carbon reduction in the food and beverage industry. Since its establishment, Carbonstop has been committed to the mission of "making every product have a carbon footprint." Not only has it calculated emission reductions for Starbucks' "Starbucks Goodness Oat Milk Chocolate Muffin," but it has also launched carbon-neutral mooncakes with Zhenggu and helped many top global chain restaurants develop emission reduction plans.
The restaurant industry, as an indispensable part of daily life, significantly impacts the environment through ingredient procurement, food processing, energy use, and waste management. Therefore, there is great potential and broad development space in reducing carbon footprints. In recent years, with growing global attention to climate change and the deep-rooted concept of sustainability, more and more restaurateurs are taking proactive actions to integrate green, low-carbon, and environmental practices into their daily operations, striving to contribute to the Earth's sustainable development while meeting consumer culinary needs.
In the green transformation journey of the restaurant industry, Carbonstop plays an indispensable role with its profound expertise and forward-looking vision. By accurately measuring, scientifically evaluating, and strategically planning, it provides precise carbon accounting and customized emission reduction solutions for the restaurant industry. We firmly believe that the mission of making every product have a carbon footprint will extend infinitely within the restaurant industry. The restaurant industry will no longer be a "hotspot" for carbon emissions. Each menu optimization, every energy-saving effort, and every effective waste management practice will inspire boundless aspirations and positive actions towards a sustainable future for the entire industry.
