On July 4, 2024, a themed seminar titled "Starting from CDP Environmental Information to Accelerate Corporate Climate Transition" was successfully held in Beijing, organized by Carbonstop, supported by CDP and Jiemian News. The seminar gathered numerous industry leaders, experts, and corporate representatives to discuss how companies can leverage CDP environmental information to accelerate their green transition in the context of global climate change.
Ms. Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP Global, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing that every dollar spent on reporting is a dollar less available for climate action. She noted that disclosure has positive impacts on capital recognition, business efficiency, and international cooperation, serving as a critical pathway for companies to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and take concrete actions.
Mr. Xu Huaqing, Director of the National Center for Climate Change Strategy Research and International Cooperation, gave an important speech. He stressed that as the main actors in economic and social development, companies' green and low-carbon transitions are not only strategic choices for their long-term development but also key forces in achieving China's dual carbon goals and global climate governance objectives.

Mr. Yan Luhui, Founder and CEO of Carbonstop, shared the company's efforts and achievements in promoting CDP environmental information disclosure and climate transition. He extended sincere and heartfelt wishes for the participants' information disclosure this year. He mentioned that in 2023, Carbonstop's partners achieved remarkable success, with over nine questionnaires receiving A- ratings, setting a new record. This year, Carbonstop has become an official partner of CDP Global, offering more professional services and support to companies.

The seminar invited three representatives from key institutions of the SBTi—Fei Li, Co-Director of Global Disclosure at CDP, Wei Quan Fang, Head of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Asia-Pacific Region at the World Resources Institute, and Weimin Tang, Senior Project Manager at WWF. Mr. Fei Li shared insights on the "Current Status and Outlook of Global Corporate Environmental Information Disclosure," presenting a comprehensive overview of the current state and trends of Chinese companies' carbon emission disclosures. Mr. Fang Wei Quan discussed practical experiences and strategies for "Improving Corporate Greenhouse Gas Accounting to Accelerate Value Chain Low-Carbon Transition." Mr. Tang Weimin provided an in-depth interpretation of the key role of SBTi in the dual carbon strategy, while Ms. Siyao He, a Climate Analyst from MSCI ESG & Climate Research Department, shared practical experiences on how companies can capture climate opportunities through ESG data. During the meeting, participants actively engaged in interactions, raising many questions about CDP rule updates, future plans for GHG Protocol corporate standards, and optimization of SBTi review processes, which were thoroughly answered by the experts.

As a global technology manufacturing "chain leader," Lenovo Group has been playing a leading role in supply chain decarbonization and has received A- ratings for climate change and supplier engagement. Ms. Liu Wei, Director of Standards and Environmental Affairs at Lenovo Group, shared "Lenovo's ESG Strategy and Green Low-Carbon Practices," providing valuable insights and replicable success stories for attendees.

Since its establishment, Carbonstop has provided CDP-related services to over 100 companies, helping them achieve leadership-level scores in CDP questionnaires more than 50 times, demonstrating rich practical experience. At this conference, Ms. Guo Jiajia, Carbon Consultant Manager at Carbonstop, delivered a keynote speech titled "Breaking Through CDP Scoring: A Comprehensive Guide for Companies to Achieve Top Ratings," offering a detailed analysis of how to help companies effectively address CDP challenges and earn top ratings within the industry.

This conference also marked the launch of the 2024 [Carbon Pioneers] selection activity, co-initiated by Carbonstop as the exclusive carbon management partner and Jiemian News. We invited outstanding corporate representatives from various industries, including Ms. Guo Jiajia, Carbon Consultant Manager at Carbonstop, Mr. Chen Ting, Director of Sustainable Development at Xiaomi Group, Mr. Yang Yong, Sustainability Manager at Ronghua, and Mr. Wang Zijian, ESG Manager at Huaxi Biotech, to engage in an in-depth dialogue on "Future Trends and Challenges of Corporate Climate Actions."

Notably, the conference adopted a series of innovative and environmentally friendly measures, breaking the traditional formal atmosphere of meetings and setting new benchmarks in environmental protection and sustainable development. The venue was provided by On Space as a sustainable space, and the [Green Event Management Toolkit] created jointly by the Energy Foundation and Carbonstop was used, highlighting the low-carbon philosophy from planning to execution. Participants not only enjoyed sustainable refreshments provided by Zhenggu but also saw carbon labels calculated by Carbonstop displayed throughout On Space.

The successful conclusion of this seminar not only built a bridge for communication and learning among companies but also demonstrated the industry's forward-looking vision and firm determination in addressing global climate change challenges. As a leader in this field, Carbonstop's continuous efforts and contributions have not only solidified its position as a leader in the industry but also inspired the entire supply chain and society to resonate and act towards sustainable development goals.
Looking ahead, Carbonstop will leverage its profound expertise and forward-thinking strategic vision to collaborate with global partners, collectively drawing a grand blueprint for green transformation and low-carbon development. In this process, Carbonstop will not only be a promoter but also an innovator, continuously leading the industry in exploring new technologies and models, promoting the standardization and transparency of environmental information disclosure, accelerating climate transition, and contributing to the realization of global sustainable development goals.
