Recently, global renowned fashion sports brand FILA has completed the carbon footprint accounting of six products in collaboration with Carbonstop. Carbonstop calculated according to the 'Cradle-to-Grave' product lifecycle boundary, fully considering the carbon emissions from the acquisition and transportation of raw materials, production and manufacturing, distribution and retail transportation, consumer use, and disposal/reuse stages for the six products, which include the FILA Nature Symbiosis Carbon Neutral T-shirt, FILA Men's Pea Shoe, FILA FUSION Men's Cool Board Shoe 2nd Generation, FILA FUSION Sheepskin Jacket, FILA KIDS Tiger Claw 4P Outdoor Hiking Shoes, and FILA KIDS Dolomiti Windshell among other product series.
As a leading brand in high-end fashion sports, FILA has always been committed to sustainable fashion, advocating "From Nature to Nature." FILA's sustainable practices are not limited to innovation in product design and material research and development, but also include actively promoting the green transformation of the supply chain, ensuring the sustainable procurement of raw materials and environmentally friendly production through close cooperation with suppliers. Multiple shoe and apparel products under the brand use eco-friendly fabrics, including recycled nylon, recycled polyester, renewable waste paper pulp, recycled PET base cloth, and EcoFiGegen recycled fibers, among others, promoting the green upgrade of the entire industrial value chain starting from raw materials. At the same time, FILA simplifies hang tags using RFID technology, adopts FSC certified environmental isolation paper packaging, implements old material management, and carries out green projects in FILA stores, providing solid technical support for sustainable actions.
Carbonstop helped FILA successfully account for the full lifecycle carbon footprint of six products. These products not only reduce carbon emissions through the use of sustainable materials, renewable energy, green warehousing, and green packaging, but the Nature Symbiosis Carbon Neutral T-shirt can degrade into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass fertilizer under specific industrial composting conditions during the disposal phase without producing microplastics, significantly reducing carbon emissions compared to conventional disposal methods. On the basis of taking certain emission reduction measures, the T-shirt series achieved carbon neutrality through the purchase of high-quality CCERs and obtained certification from a third-party institution. These efforts and achievements reflect FILA's firm stance and proactive actions in sustainable development.
In today's world where sustainability has become a global consensus, Anta Group has established a '1+3+5' sustainable strategy goal, planning to increase the sustainable proportion of materials, products, packaging, transportation, and core supply chains to 50% before 2030. As one of the beloved national brands, Anta continues to move forward in the practice of environmental responsibility. From launching the first carbon-neutral windbreaker "Storm Armor" in the Chinese industry, opening the first carbon-neutral store "Anta 0 Carbon Mission Store" in China, to creating the carbon-neutral award equipment for the Chinese sports delegation at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anta demonstrates its environmental determination and strength as a responsible enterprise through a series of low-carbon measures. As a high-end fashion sports brand under Anta Group, FILA is also continuously exploring and practicing in the field of sustainable fashion. This collaboration with Carbonstop to complete the carbon footprint accounting of six products marks a solid step for FILA in product lifecycle management.
Looking ahead, FILA will continue to integrate the concept of environmental protection into every stage of a product's life journey, from design, R&D, and production to sales, use, and recycling, continuously exploring more emission reduction opportunities throughout the product lifecycle, promoting green innovation, and making greater contributions to protecting the Earth's environment. Meanwhile, Carbonstop will continue to leverage its professional advantages to provide strong support for reducing the carbon footprint of products in the footwear and apparel industry, offering consumers more sustainable options, and creating a greener and better world for the future.
